DATA-ENABLED LIFE SCIENCES ALLIANCE

DELSA Workshop II

May 3 & 4, 2012

“Supporting Ecosystem for the Life Sciences in the Beginning of the 21st Century,” Bethesda Doubletree Hotel, Bethesda, MD

Today, thousands of research groups generate tremendous amounts of valuable data that are narrowly disseminated and thus significantly underutilized. To address such a grand challenge, DELSA (Data-Enabled Life Sciences Alliance International) proposes a transdisciplinary approach by integrating expertise across both life sciences and computing, academia and industry, cyberinfrastructure and analysis, policies and media. Our goal is to connect leaders and stakeholders to accelerate development of new insights and innovations that can more rapidly address global societal needs.

DELSA Workshop II (DW-2), “Supporting Ecosystem for the Life Sciences in the Beginning of the 21st Century”, is being held on May 3 and 4, 2012 at the Doubletree Hotel in Bethesda, Maryland. Registration for DW-2 is open now. Please register now, space is limited!
DW-2 will focus on identifying, prioritizing and streamlining novel pathways of convergence for collective knowledge-based innovations in the 21st century. DW-2 will introduce DELSA, discuss progress thus far and plan how the community will work together to address the challenges life scientists are facing.
